Father's advice to Daughter
Dear daughter,
I am writing this to you because of 3 reasons...
1. Life, fortune and mishaps are unpredictable, nobody knows how long he lives.
2. I am your father, and if I don't tell you these, no one else will.
3. Whatever written is my own personal bitter experiences that perhaps could save you a lot of unnecessary heartaches.
_*Remember the following as you go through life.....
1. Do not bear any grudge towards those who are not good to you. No one has the responsibility of treating you well, except your mother and I.
To those who are good to you, you have to treasure it and be thankful, and ALSO you have to be cautious, because, everyone has a motive for every move. When a person is good to you, it does not mean he/she really will be good to you. You have to be careful, don't hastily regard him/her as a real friend.
2. No one is indispensable, nothing is in the world that you must possess.
3.Once you understand this idea, it would be easier for you to go through life when people around you don't want you anymore, or when you lose what you wanted the most.
3. Life is short.
When you waste your life today, tomorrow you would find that life is leaving you. The earlier you treasure your life, the better you enjoy life.
4. Love is nothing but a transient feeling, and this feeling would fade with time and with one's mood. If your so called loved one ever leaves you, be patient, time will wash away your aches and sadness. Don't over exaggerate the beauty and sweetness of love, and don't over exaggerate the sadness of falling out of love.
5. A lot of successful people did not receive good education, that does not mean that you can be successful by not studying hard! Whatever knowledge you gain is your weapon in life. One can go from rags to riches, but one has to start from some rags!
6. I do not expect you to financially support me when I am old, neither would I financially support your whole life. My responsibility as a supporter ends when you are grown up. After that, you decide whether you want to travel in a public transport or in your limousine, whether rich or poor.
7. You honour your words, but don't expect others to be so. You can be good to people, but don't expect people to be good to you. If you don't understand this, you would end up with unnecessary troubles.
8. I have bought lotteries for umpteen years , but could never strike any prize. That shows if you want to be rich, you have to work hard! There is no free lunch anywhere, ask those that live in Freetown!
9. No matter how much time I have with you, let's treasure the time we have together. We do not know if we would meet again in our next life.
Love, Dad. (Letter by a Japanese father to his child).

Fayose Vs EFCC
EFCC traces N4.7b arms cash to Fayose, Obanikoro
by Yusuf Alli, June 22, 2016 at 12:10 am in Featured, News
Detectives uncover how ex-minister flew N1.2b to Akure for Ekiti poll
Detectives have traced about N4.745billion of the diverted $2. 1billion arms cash to a former Minister of State (Defence), Musiliu Obanikoro and Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose.
The cash was sourced from the SAS Imprest Account of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) under ex-NSA Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.) prior to the conduct of the June 21, 2014 Ekiti State governorship election, according to an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigation.
Others linked with the sharing of the slush funds include Fayose’s associate, Abiodun Agbele(Alias Abbey); Mrs. Helen Olayemi Fayose; Obanikoro’s sons — Gbolahan and Babajide — Ikenna Ezekwe; Sylvan Mcnamara Limited(a company allegedly run by the Obanikoros); Spotless Hotel, owned by Fayose and De Privateer Limited, which is owned by Agbele.
About 30 bureaux de change changed N759, 384, 300 (out of the N4.745billion) into dollars.
A curious aspect of the findings by the EFCC is how Obanikoro, as a minister, flew N1.218billion to Akure on June 12, 2014 for Fayose a few days before the election.
According to documents obtained by our correspondent, EFCC investigators discovered that a firm, Sylvan Mcnamara Limited, allegedly owned by Obanikoro and his sons, was used to launder the N4.745billion.
The directors of the company, which was incorporated in November 2011, are: a close aide of the ex-Minister, Ikenna Ezekwe(700,000 shares) of 51 Simpson Street, Ebute-Metta; Idowu Oshodi(299,000 shares) of 8, Prince Tayo Adesanya Street, Park View Estate, Ikoyi; and Elizabeth Adebiyi(1,000 shares) of 3, Adedoyin Street, Ijeshatedo, Surulere.
“To set the stage for the use of the company for money laundering, the board of directors on May 7, 2012 passed a resolution that the company should open an account and appointed Mr. Gbolahan Obanikoro, Ikenna Ezekwe, Ms. Theresa Matuluko (Secretary) and Mr. Babajide Obanikoro as the signatories to the account.
“The board added that the signing combination be that any of the signatories can sign alone.”
According to the EFCC, when it was time to illegally draw the N4.745billion from ONSA for election, Obanikoro made the account of Sylvan Mcnamara Limited available and coordinated the disbursement.
The breakdown of the disbursement is N759, 384, 300 changed into dollars through bureaux de change; N160million spent on cars through Balmoral International Limited; N1, 219, 490,000 ferried by Obanikoro in two flights to a branch of Zenith Bank at Plot 13, Alagbaka Estate, Akure to evacuate the cash and received by Fayose’s associate, Abiodun; balance of about N2billion withdrawn by Obanikoro and his two children in cash.
Some of the bureaux de change and the amounts credited to them include A.A.G.B.S Oil and Gas (N168,000,000.00); Sylvan Mcnamara Ltd (N167,500,000.00); Northline Ltd (N835,000.00); Northline Ltd (N83,750,000.00); Five Star Ltd N(37,600,000.00); A.B.A Trading Ent (N268,301,500.00); Villagolf Bureaux De (N1,425,000.00); Ahmad Ahmad &Omar (N350,000.000); Northline Ltd (N1,680,000.00); Northline Limited A (N2,325,300); Rehoboth Homes (N20,000,0000); Northline Ltd (N5,932,500.00); Northline Ltd (N842,500); Northline Ltd (N842,500.00).
The EFCC also exposed how N1, 219, 490,000 was allegedly flown to Akure Airport on June 12, 2014 to Fayose through his associate, Abiodun Agbele (aka Abbey).
The Nation yesterday stumbled on a document on the EFCC’s findings. It reads: “On June 12, 2014, the sum of N1, 219, 490,000 was flown from Lagos to Akure Airport by Musiliu Obanikoro through a chartered plane (HS 125 jet) with a tail number N638MA. The plane belongs to Okin Travels which is a subsidiary of Elizade Motors. But the aircraft was then managed by OAS Helicopters for commercial/ chartered service.
“The ex-minister was accompanied by his military Aide-de-Camp who introduced himself as A.O. Adewale.
“The N1, 219, 490,000 was in two consignments but flown in the same aircraft twice in the morning and in the evening. From FAAN records, the first cash of N724, 500,000 arrived at Akure Airport at an estimated time of 9.38am and the second was at 17.57hours.
“A bullion van was brought by Zenith Bank to the tarmac at the airport in Akure to evacuate the cash to Zenith Bank at Plot 13, Alagbaka Estate, Akure.
“Obanikoro handed over the funds to Fayose’s associate, Abiodun Agbele (alias Abbey). This Abiodun in company with the bank officials moved the money to Zenith Bank in Akure.”
The EFCC gave details of how the N1, 219, 490,000 was shared to Fayose and others by Agbele.”
The document said: “The N1, 219, 490,000 was not deposited in any account but it was kept in a vault in the bank. It took the bank officials about 10 days to count. The bankers refused to make entry until it was counted,
“Shortly after confirming the figure, Abiodun was used to coordinate the disbursement of the funds. On June 26, 2014, the wanted associate (Abiodun Agbele) paid N137million into Ayodele Fayose’s account 10003126654 with Zenith Bank through Teller-0556814. Fayose’s BVN on the teller is 22338867502. On August 22, 2014, he paid N50million into the same account. By the records from the bank, Abiodun paid another N118, 760,000 into Fayose’s account on 27/8/14.
“Based on the transfers, Fayose moved N300million to a Fixed Deposit Account No 9013074033 with Zenith Bank at 15, Olusola Abiona Street, Olorunda Estate, Alapere Ketu. He has the same BVN-22338867502.
“After that, Abiodun deposited another N100million from the N1, 219, 490,000 into Spotless Hotel Account run by Fayose and Helen Olayemi Fayose with Account No. 1010170969, Fayose’s BVN is 223338867502 and Helen’s BVN in the account is 22298990256.
“The governor and Helen are the two directors and signatories of Spotless Hotel account.”
In the course of the investigation, the EFCC team dug up how De Privateer Limited (a company owned by Abiodun Agbele) with Account No. 1013835889 received N219, 490,000 on June 18, 2014.
“On June 19, 2014, the same account received N300million and another N200million on June 23, 2014. The BVN of the account is 22235692890.
A top official of the EFCC said: “Fayose benefited from the ONSA slush funds when he was yet to be a governor. So, the fact that he has immunity now as a governor does not mean we should not investigate him.
“The EFCC also has the right to interact with all those connected with the illegal withdrawal of public funds and the diversion of the cash.”
Regarding the fate of Fayose’s associate, the source added: “We will invite him for interrogation; we have already initiated the process.”

Osun Religious Dressing update
A Christian wrote the article below and I found it worthy of sharing for the benefit of all honest and objective persons:
"Below is my reply to a Christian bigot:
@ Yemi Adeleke, I am not a big fan of Aregbe but I can confirm to you that his hands are clean in this matter. If anything, his govt has served the interest of Christians than Muslims in terms of appointments and financial assistance. Lemme mention some:
1. His appointments, commissioners and Special advisers were skewed in favour of Christians 75-25%
2. He donated #30million to OSUN Baptist for the construction of their auditorium.
3.Another #35million for the burial of late Obadare.
4. CAC olaiya was valued at #59.7 when government demolished it to pave way for road construction. Aregbe added another #30m to make it #89.7 in spite of the fact that majority of the individual property owners have not been paid.
I just decided to mention these few for you to know that Aregbe has served xtains the more.
Now to the main issue of hijab.
1. All the schools, including missionary schools, were taken over by government in 1975 by the military govt. Govt discovered at that time that the subvensions given to xtian missionaries were not judiciously utilised! This was discovered when govt gave similar subvension to May Flowers school ( a school founded by Tai Solarin, an atheist) and the money was judiciously spent. Govt was surprised that same could not be said of the xtain missionary schools. Govt had to call for a probe and it was discovered that most of the subventions were not used for the purpose they were meant for. Again, the pieces land for the construction of the churches and schools were donated by the community.
This prompted the govt to ask them to value their property and place side by side the subvention they got from govt. It was discovered that most of them were even indebted to govt and govt had to take over the schools. Those who had spent beyond the subvention were compensated.
If govt had changed all d names of the missionary schools, possibly nobody would be laying claim to any name or heritage today.
2. Ever since then, govt has been responsible for the financing and running of the schools but the church still interfere vicariously. For example, in some schools, people of other faith or denomination cannot head a school that is run and funded by govt.
3. Muslim students are subjected to Christian mode of worship on assembly grounds in all schools, whether missionary named, community named or government named schools.
4. The agitation to allow Muslim students practise their faith without being subjected/forced to follow the creed of others had been on for long.
5. For instance, during the regime of Oyinlola, he was approached. His administration granted Muslims female students the right to wear hijab only in Muslim named school but not in Christian-named, community-named or govt named schools despite the fact that they are all owned by government and financed with public fund.
6. The agitation continued under Aregbe who called both Muslim and Christian leaders to meet and resolve the lingering issues amicably. They could not!
7. In 2013, the Muslim community approached the court to seek justice.
Pls note that the Muslim community took govt to court and NOT CAN! But CAN chose to join in the case which was eventually won by the Muslims.
8. The judgement was based on the fact that it's the fundamental human right of the Muslim female students to wear hijab especially since all schools belong to govt and not any religious body!
9. The xtains are unsatisfied with the judgement but instead of approaching the court for stay of execution and appeal, they have resorted to propaganda and blackmail!
10. They've asked their children to wear church garments to schools without recourse to legal approach. But can this be sustained judging from the fact that church garments are not an everyday wear of the xtains whereas hijab is an everyday Muslim female outfit ordained by Islamic injunction.
11. I do not know what is detestable in wearing hijab in a public institution when your children are not forced to wear it.
12. Are we truly tolerant as we make people to believe?! Your guess is as good as mine!
13. As a journalist who practise in the state and is abreast of the situation, I decided to put this across to you (my AGOSA friends) for us to know the true situations of things, instead of the lies and propaganda that fly around.
14. I hope we all read this objectively and pass comment on it objectively too."

Jimoh Ibrahim & AMCON
Nigeria's Assets Management Corp Takes Over Businessman Jimoh Ibrahim’s Worldwide Assets Over N50b Debtby SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKThe Federal High Court, Lagos Division has frozen all the assets of businessman Jimoh Ibrahim, as well as his NICON Investment Limited and Global Fleet Oil and Gas Limited.Justice Saliu Saidu issued the interim injunction in response to an application by Mr. Yusuf Ali, counsel to the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) on June 14th, and it will stay in place untilall the issues concerning their indebtedness to AMCON are determined. The order restrains NICON Investment Limited, Global Fleet Oil and Gas Limited and Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim from dealing with any assets or funds of the company. It covers the assets of NICON Investment Limited, Global Fleet Oil and GasLimited and Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim in Abuja, Lagos, Dubai and London. The freezing order also affects all bank accounts held and/or maintained by NICON Investment Limited, Global Fleet Oil and Gas Limited and Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim in First Bank Plc, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Diamond Bank Plc, United Bank of Africa Plc, Access Bank Plc, City Bank Nigeria Limited and Sterling Bank Plc.Others are Ecobank Nigeria Plc, Fidelity Bank Plc, First City Monument Bank Plc, Heritage Bank Limited, Keystone Bank Limited, Skye Bank Plc, Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc, Sterling Bank Plc, Zenith Bank Plc, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc and Unity Bank Plc.The court also ordered the freezing of all bank accounts to which Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim is a signatory either alone or with any other person in NICON Investment Limited, Global Fleet Oil and GasLimited in any of the banks and financial institution on the list. AMCON was also granted the possessoryorder to take over Jimoh Ibrahim’s Nigeria Re-Insurance Company Plc, NICON Insurance Company Plc, Nigeria Stockbrokers Limited (NSL) and NICON Trustees Limited. The trio of NICON Investment Limited, Global Fleet Oil and Gas Limited and Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim owe AMCON over N50billion that has become the subject of protracted negotiations and court battles as a result of their inability to repay the staggering debt. With AMCON’s debt recovery efforts in full swing, the Corporation took over the assets of Mr. Ibrahim in Abuja and Lagos.Recall that 400 obligors of AMCON account for more than N4.5 trillion, which is approximately 80 percent of the total outstanding loan balance of the corporation’s over 12,000 accounts with obligors that have become recalcitrant over time despite theefforts of the corporation. To deal with the situation, AMCON recently increased the tempo of its recovery activities using firmer negotiation strategies and the special enforcement powers it possesses under the AMCON Act, to compel some of its debtors, especially business heavyweights and the politicallyexposed, to repay their debts.Ibrahim, one of Nigeria’s wealthiest men, has investments in such areas as aviation, hotels, banking, insurance, real estate, and publishing, along with a reputation for ruthlessness and shortcuts.AMCON began enforcement of the freeze order earlier today.

Let's build strong boys instead of waiting to repair broken men!
By Kingsley Obom-Egbulem ======================
What would you do about that 11-year-old boy if you were sure he’s going to end up marrying your DAUGHTER tomorrow?
If we did something purposeful and deliberate about the boys of yesterday, we would have had purpose-driven husbands and fathers toady!
The world has been grappling for decades with a crisis of fatherhood and you can see this crisis all around us; from the rape crisis in India, the genocide we all witnessed in Rwanda to the Syrian crisis and emergence of ISIS in the Middle East . From the ever increasing population of fatherless boys and single mothers in South Africa, to the rise in militancy in the Niger Delta, the Almajiri crisis in Northern Nigeria and the ever present Area Boys epidemic in Lagos, something has gone wrong with our 'Heads'.
Indeed, everywhere you turn to, you see Fatherhood clearly on trial. But the influence of patriarchs and fathers like Nelson Mandela, gives us hope as well as points to just one fact: Fatherhood is still 'Source' and when something goes wrong with Fatherhood, everything is bound to go wrong. And to change the world, we must get it right with fatherhood. And to get it right with fatherhood, we need to start engaging our boys NOW!
The husbands and fathers of today were once the boys of yesterday. If we wanted better fathers and husbands today, we would have done something DELIBRATE yesterday, when today’s husbands and fathers were boys.
We have another opportunity knocking: the boys of today would soon become the husbands and fathers of tomorrow. And if we want better fathers for the boys (and better husbands for the girls) of tomorrow, then we must do something deliberate about the boys of today.
Who is talking to our boys about relationships, girls, women, sex, sexuality, pornography and all manner of sexual perversion that can ruin their future and marriage? Who’s talking to our boys about PURPOSE, DECISION and how it can make the difference in the kind of men, fathers and husband they become? We need to talk to our boys about peer pressure, the danger of drugs and alcohol. How do we engage our boys about masculinity, gender and domestic abuse, rape and all manner of sexual violence?
Lets talk to our boys NOW before they become men and formed.
For instance, let's tell our boys that: 'It is ok to have an erection as a guy but just because a guy has an erection doesn’t mean he has to do anything with it'.
Who is telling our boys that 'when a lady says no, she means NO and if she wants to say YES, she knows how to say it?'
Who is telling our boys that 'when a lady is wearing a short she's not asking to be raped or insulted and skimpy clothes don't necessarily mean come and sleep with me'.
Let’s train our boy to govern the MAN and POWER that controls His DRIVES while he is young!
We often talk to girls about staying out of premarital sex and getting married as virgins. What are we telling the boys- our sons and fathers of tomorrow?
So, we ask: what does it profit a girl to preserve herself, so she can be married as a virgin only to end up with a oversexed man struggling with porn and all manner of sexual perversion as husbands?
It's unfair to such a girl.
Hence we feel if we must ask our girls to preserve themselves for their husbands, our boys too must preserve themselves for their wives.
I'm passionate about mentoring boys. About engaging our husbands and fathers of tomorrow and helping them discover and define PURPOSE. That's what I've committed to doing through the SEXsense and Purpose Clinic for Boys. 'Preserving tomorrow's men, husbands and fathers to fulfil purpose'.
Host a Sexsense and Purpose Clinic for Boys in your church, School, Estate and club. I invite you to join me and support this course... as we take hold of the future- one boy at a time!

9 Phrases Smart People Never Use In Conversation
9 Phrases Smart People Never Use In Conversation

TRAVIS BRADBERRY
Co-author of Emotional Intelligence 2.0 and President at TalentSmart
We’ve all said things that people interpreted much differently than we thought they would. These seemingly benign comments lead to the awful feeling that only comes when you’ve planted your foot firmly into your mouth.
Verbal slip-ups often occur because we say things without knowledge of the subtle implications they carry. Understanding these implications requires social awareness—the ability to pick up on the emotions and experiences of other people.
TalentSmart has tested the emotional intelligence (EQ) of more than a million people and discovered that social awareness is a skill in which many of us are lacking.
We lack social awareness because we’re so focused on what we’re going to say next—and how what other people are saying affects us—that we completely lose sight of other people.
This is a problem because people are complicated. You can’t hope to understand someone until you focus all of your attention in his or her direction.
The beauty of social awareness is that a few simple adjustments to what you say can vastly improve your relationships with other people.

To that end, there are some phrases that emotionally intelligent people are careful to avoid in casual conversation. The following phrases are nine of the worst offenders. You should avoid them at all costs.
1. 'You look tired.'
Tired people are incredibly unappealing—they have droopy eyes and messy hair, they have trouble concentrating, and they’re as grouchy as they come. Telling someone he looks tired implies all of the above and then some.
Instead say: “Is everything okay?” Most people ask if someone is tired because they’re intending to be helpful (they want to know if the other person is okay). Instead of assuming someone’s disposition, just ask. This way, he can open up and share. More importantly, he will see you as concerned instead of rude.
2. 'Wow, you’ve lost a ton of weight!'
Once again, a well-meaning comment—in this case a compliment—creates the impression that you’re being critical. Telling someone that she has lost a lot of weight suggests that she used to look fat or unattractive.
Instead say: “You look fantastic.” This one is an easy fix. Instead of comparing how she looks now to how she used to look, just compliment her for looking great. It takes the past right out of the picture.
3. 'You were too good for her anyway.'
When someone severs ties with a relationship of any type, personal or professional, this comment implies he has bad taste and made a poor choice in the first place.
Instead say: “Her loss!” This provides the same enthusiastic support and optimism without any implied criticism.
4. 'You always...' or 'You never...'
No one always or never does anything. People don’t see themselves as one-dimensional, so you shouldn’t attempt to define them as such. These phrases make people defensive and closed off to your message, which is a really bad thing because you likely use these phrases when you have something important to discuss.
Instead say: Simply point out what the other person did that’s a problem for you. Stick to the facts. If the frequency of the behavior is an issue, you can always say, “It seems like you do this often.” or “You do this often enough for me to notice.”

5. 'You look great for your age.'
Using “for your” as a qualifier always comes across as condescending and rude. No one wants to be smart for an athlete or in good shape relative to other people who are also knocking on death’s door. People simply want to be smart and fit.
Instead say: “You look great.” This one is another easy fix. Genuine compliments don’t need qualifiers.
6. 'As I said before...'
We all forget things from time to time. This phrase makes it sound as if you’re insulted at having to repeat yourself, which is hard on the recipient (someone who is genuinely interested in hearing your perspective). Getting insulted over having to repeat yourself suggests that either you’re insecure or you think you’re better than everyone else (or both!). Few people who use this phrase actually feel this way.
Instead say: When you say it again, see what you can do to convey the message in a clearer and more interesting manner. This way they'll remember what you said.
7. 'Good luck.'
This is a subtle one. It certainly isn’t the end of the world if you wish someone good luck, but you can do better because this phrase implies that they need luck to succeed.
Instead say: “I know you have what it takes.” This is better than wishing her luck because suggesting that she has the skills needed to succeed provides a huge boost of confidence. You’ll stand out from everyone else who simply wishes her luck.
8. 'It’s up to you.' or 'Whatever you want.'
While you may be indifferent to the question, your opinion is important to the person asking (or else he wouldn’t have asked you in the first place).
Instead say: “I don’t have a strong opinion either way, but a couple things to consider are...” When you offer an opinion (even without choosing a side), it shows that you care about the person asking.
9. 'Well at least I’ve never ___.'
This phrase is an aggressive way to shift attention away from your mistake by pointing out an old, likely irrelevant mistake the other person made (and one you should have forgiven her for by now).
Instead say: “I’m sorry.” Owning up to your mistake is the best way to bring the discussion to a more rational, calm place so that you can work things out. Admitting guilt is an amazing way to prevent escalation.
Bringing it all together
In everyday conversation, it’s the little things that make all the difference. Try these suggestions out, and you’ll be amazed at the positive response you get.
